New Business:

Item 1: Art Night: Monday (24th) Larry has decided to volunteer his time with us.

Item 2: The 19^th will be a working meeting, we need designs for the T-shirts to be completed. Buttons will be arriving soon, we need the designs to be completed. Buttons are 1″ with .875″ safe area for design, but whole thing is 1.315″ total (wraps around back). 

Old business:

Item 1: Westcare event: UPDATE – There’s some confusion about the stipend still, need to clearify and get more information before attending. Danielle will send an email to find out more.

Item 2: Bus: UPDATE – Charter bus will be booked Fridays and Saturdays, need to find another date.

Item 3: Coupon Books: Danielle will take care of it, we may have missed our window while waiting for approval and may have to wait another thirty days.

Item 1: Motion to approve 30 T-shirt purchases – Up to $100 to silkscreen for fundraiser.

Old business:

Item 1.a: Ronald Mcdonald/Scholarship funding – Update – Laura spoke with Denise, they are still interested in the workshop and the material donation. Perhaps using photoreactive paper or another project.

1.b: Scholarship funding – Update – Never received paperwork, Jeff will research after next week.

Item 2: Bus rental and date – discussion about the possibility of “selling” seats to assist in covering the cost of the bus. Discussed some potential locations. Possibly the DeYoung Museum or the Legion of Honor Museum along with the Cantor Museum at Stanford. Lyle will look into reserving the bus – possibly the Friday before mother’s day in May.

Item 3: Workshops – Update – One scheduled, Mary C. (Ceramics) volunteered her studio. (on Dudley and Valentine) Field trip scheduled either before or after spring break – week of the 7^th or the 21^st.

Item 4: Art night – Update – We will meet at 6pm in AH 102 to work on projects for Showcase. Primarily we will work on Artwork/Designs for T-Shirts and buttons as well as paintings/Ceramic sculpture/jewelry. Bring designs, ideas and any materials you are willing to donate.

Item 5: Westcare – Update – Find out if we’re listed for the event.

Item 6: Arthop – Update – Will meet with attendees to discuss further at Fresno Ideaworks.

Item 7: Coupon books. – Update – Still waiting on approval.

Action: Motioned to approve minutes from 2/19 by Michael/2nd Rose/Carried

Treasure Report: Lyle – N/A

ICC Report – Danielle – Not much other than what is posted, dates may have been wrong. Westcare April 8th, next club rush March 27th with paperwork due by March 6th.

Item 1: Ronald Mcdonald/Scholarship funding.

We are raised money for Ronald McDonald House, eventually in April we should do a workshop, some Friday or Saturday. Denise has eighty dollars or so, one of the deposits from last fall was meant for the arts scholarships. The scholarships still need to be discussed with Jeff.

Item 2: Bus rental and date.

Danielle spoke with Janice Wong, she reported because we’re in Fresno City’s jurisdiction, we cannot combine with Fresno State for transportation. Other options for buses were discussed. Speak to Josey in transportation.

Do we absolutely need to call the trip a fundraiser? The possibility of a suggested donation was discussed. We also need to decide on a date, either the 2nd or 3rd of May.

Item 3: Workshops: Jim Callahan and Larry Krauter, we have yet to get dates but they agreed to put on workshops.

Item 4: Art night – March Tuesday 11th at 6:00 pm. Selling T-shirts, Little rubber bracelets, and buttons for Club Rush, will work on during Art Night. Laura will order the buttons.

Motion by Rose seconded by Michael to reimburse Laura up to fifty dollars for buttons. Unanimous.

We should pass out flyers to announce the meetings to other art classes.

Item 5: Westcare.

They will be holding a substance abuse prevention event with booths April 8th from 10am-2pm. They want activities, we’re not sure if they’re providing activity supplies or if the stipend would help with that. We should bring up the Westcare event again after we get more information. Also, if we decide to attend, then we should produce flyers.

Item 6: Arthop.

From 6:00-9:00 Thursday March 6^th at Fresno Ideaworks, at 1755 Broadway, right next to the Rainbow Ballroom. Bring artwork in on Wednesday and we will haul over and set up after the meeting.

Motioned to attend ArtHop at Fresno Idea Works on March 6th, Rose/Sam/unanimous.

Danielle said there is a big wall and display tables display but they need table clothes. We need volunteers to sit there or take turns. Rose mentioned she has some pieces to bring.

Item 7: Coupon books.

Motioned  to sell fundraiser coupon books from ICC, Rose/Sam/unanimous.

They are credit card sized coupon books with little stickers to peel off. They cost ten dollars, we keep five. It includes Regal cards as rewards. They’re waiting to be sold, and don’t cost us anything. They must be sold by March 7^th, we will be able to begin when Laura gets the phonecall.
